220 km/h counter vs 80 mph speed counter.

hello,

thank you all for your precious answer.

why does the american speed counter show a maximum speed limit at 80mph(128 km/h) as the car is suposed to run at 160 km/h? are they speed limited?
the same european model show a counter at 220 km/h.
